Tucked away in the Aquitaine region of France is the hidden gem, Plage de la Jenny. There aren’t many truly wild nude beaches in France and this one surely has to be one of the best. Though the name might not ring a bell for many, we can assure you that the experiences this nude beach offers are worth the trek. Nestled amidst a pine forest, the atmosphere is quiet and peaceful – a haven if you’re seeking a relaxing day away from the crowds. On our visit, we found a diverse mix of people; families, couples, and solo travelers, all comfortably relaxing on the sparse beach. It’s not uncommon to find the beach bustling with friendly locals and enthusiastic tourists during the summer season. As for the ratio of men to women, it seems fairly balanced, making it a comfortable environment for everyone. Reaching the beach does require a bit of a walk, depending on where you start. The walk itself, though, is an adventure! Cutting through the resort and the lush pine forests, the path to the beach feels like a gentle, nature-infused journey. We couldn’t access La Jenny Naturist Resort because we weren’t paying guests, so that’ll have to wait till next time. The grounds looked serene with plenty of activities on offer. Upon arrival at the beach, the first sight of the expansive Atlantic Ocean and the sandy beach stretching under the bright blue sky leaves us in awe every single time. As for amenities at the beach, they are very limited, lending to the raw and untouched appeal of the place. The lack of eateries and shops means you need to pack all your essentials, but trust us, the peace and quiet is worth the trade-off. The parking situation varies but there are spots available near the resort which usually have plenty of space. The amount of walking also ensures that people are coming here for the right reason and seeking out a true nude beach experience. Plage de la Jenny isn’t just for lounging and sunbathing – the waves here invite surfers from all over. So, if you’re an adventure seeker, don’t forget your surfboard. Just remember, there aren’t lifeguards around, so exercise caution and swim within your limits. The Atlantic Ocean can get rough pretty quickly and a few afternoons it seemed like the wind whipped up out of nowhere. If you’re looking for an alternative to the more commercialized nude beaches, Plage de la Jenny might be your answer. Its tranquil environment, stunning landscapes, and welcoming community offer a unique and authentic naturist experience. Just be prepared for a little walk and pack all you’ll need for the day. We assure you, the charm of this beach is sure to captivate your heart and have you returning again. Questions? Comments? Add your thoughts or photos below!

Getting There
Plage de la Jenny is located in the Aquitaine region of France, close to the small town of Le Porge, between Cap Ferret and Lacanau. It's situated in a remote and largely natural area, surrounded by pine forests.
By Car: From Bordeaux, take the A63 and A660 highways towards Arcachon. Then, take the D3 exit towards Le Porge. From Le Porge, follow the D3 and D104E2 as close as you can to the beach. Google Maps incorrectly shows the beach accessible by road, this isn't the case as the gates are normally closed and would require an off-road vehicle to access.
The closest parking to the beach is HERE. Note that access to the La Jenny Naturist Resort by car requires an overnight reservation.
