Our Visit

We spent a brilliant weekend at Studland Naturist Beach, and it was an experience to remember. My girlfriend and I decided to visit for the first time, and we were immediately taken by the golden sands and clear, calm waters. The beach is just gorgeous, nestled among picturesque dunes that offer a sense of seclusion and tranquility.
Since it was the weekend, the beach was quite busy, but there was still enough space for everyone. We found a nice spot, set up our towels and umbrella (definitely a must, as there’s no natural shade), and took in the scene. There was a good mix of naturists and textiles, but everyone was there to enjoy the sun and sea. It was mostly men, but there were plenty of women too, all comfortably naked. Seeing everyone so relaxed made us feel comfortable enough to join in. One of the highlights was an ice cream vendor who came by boat. It was such a treat to wade out and grab some refreshing ice cream—it added a fun, unique touch to the day! The atmosphere was really laid-back and friendly, which made it easy to just unwind and enjoy ourselves. We ended up chatting with a few regulars who were very protective of the beach. They told us how much they loved it and shared some great tips. They mentioned that access to the beach has improved a lot thanks to a new footpath. Apparently, the National Trust has done a fab job making it easier to get to the naturist section, which was great to hear. Walking along the shore, we dipped our toes in the clear, cool water. It’s perfect for swimming, and the gentle slope into the sea made it easy to wade in. The beach really has a special charm, with its soft sand and beautiful surroundings. At nearly a kilometre long, Studland Naturist Beach is one of the most popular UK nude beaches to bare it all. Fun fact: this beach even featured in Coldplay’s music video for “Yellow.” Overall, our time at Studland Naturist Beach was just what we needed to relax and enjoy nature. The friendly community, stunning scenery, and fun touches like the ice cream boat made it a standout experience. If you’re ever in Dorset, this beach is a must-visit for anyone looking to unwind and embrace the naturist lifestyle. Questions? Comments? Add your thoughts or photos below!

Getting There
The beach is well-signposted, and the walk is relatively easy, though carrying heavy gear might be challenging. The new footpath installed by the National Trust has made access much easier, ensuring a smoother journey from the car park to the beach. Once you arrive, you’ll find clear signs marking the start of the naturist section.
By Car: From Bournemouth, take the Sandbanks Ferry across Poole Harbour to Studland. Once you disembark, follow Ferry Road for about 2 miles until you reach the National Trust car park at Knoll Beach. If you prefer to avoid the ferry, drive via Wareham and Corfe Castle, following signs to Studland. Be aware that road parking fills up quickly, especially on weekends, so it’s a good idea to arrive early.
By Public Transport: From Bournemouth, take the train to Poole, then catch the Breezer Bus 50 to Studland, which includes a ride on the Sandbanks Ferry. The bus stops near Knoll Beach, from where it’s a nice walk to the naturist area. Be sure to check bus schedules in advance, as service intervals can vary.
