Getting There
The dock at Stock Island, Florida, is located just east of Key West in the lower Florida Keys. It’s accessible by car, air, and sea, and is just a short drive from Key West’s attractions while offering a quieter, laid-back vibe.
Getting to Stock Island, Florida:
By Car:
From Miami (or mainland Florida):
Take U.S. Highway 1 (Overseas Highway) southbound, which is the main route through the Florida Keys. The drive from Miami to Stock Island takes about 3.5 hours (160 miles).
After passing through Key Largo, Islamorada, and Marathon, you’ll reach Key West. Stock Island is just before Key West, at Mile Marker 5.
Once you reach Stock Island, take College Road or MacDonald Avenue to access the island's marinas, accommodations, and points of interest.
By Air:
Fly into Key West International Airport (EYW):
Stock Island is about 2 miles from the airport. After landing, you can take a taxi, rideshare service, or rent a car for the short drive to Stock Island.
There are direct flights from major cities like Miami, Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale, and Charlotte to Key West.
By Sea:
From Key West:
If you're arriving by boat, Stock Island has several well-known marinas like Safe Harbor Marina and Stock Island Marina Village. It's a great spot to dock if you want to avoid the busier Key West Harbor.
You can also take a ferry to Key West from cities like Fort Myers or Marco Island. Once in Key West, Stock Island is just a short drive or bike ride away.
